Guru Purnima is celebrated as the "Guru's Day" amongst the spiritual community across the globe. On this day, seekers and initiates thank and remember their Gurus who brought the peace and light of spirituality in their lives. This year is exceptional because this year Guru Purnima coincides with Mahavatar Babaji Smriti Divas - the day when Mahavatar Babaji appeared to Paramhansa Yogananda.

Now isn't this what we have been teaching for so many years? Yogis have taught this since ancient times. This is what the disciplines of Energy Healing, Yoga and Reiki have taught for hundreds of years. Isn't it interesting how the modern viewpoint is gradually but surely catching up with the ancient wisdom?!

This Thanksgiving let your mind rest. The only way to do this is by using your heart a little more. You see “thanks” cannot be “given” from the mind. It is the heart that should feel the “thanks” which is then expressed in words. This Thanksgiving “thank” from the heart, understand that life is meant to be lived and enjoyed and not cast away in endless judgment, rationalization, guilt, and comparison.
